Sentiment has risen for the fourth consecutive month as the Autumn Budget approaches, according to Dynamic Planner’s Financial Happiness Index.
The barometer, built on the views of more than 4,000 people every month, found the Financial Happiness Index scored 3.94, a 0.03 increase compared to August. Financial resilience was up by 0.01, scoring 4.54 while emotional resilience reached 3.79, an increase of 0.04. Financial knowledge and confidence increased by 0.02 to a score of 3.49. The biggest single-day rise came on the 9 September, which was the day the ONS announced UK GDP had grown by 0.4%.
