Cartel plans expansion into pensions and investments

Mortgage broker Cartel is planning to move into pensions and investments next year, to offer more products to its client base.

Carl Wright, managing director of Manchester-based Cartel, said big changes were on the horizon for both pensions and investments and, despite mixed opinion in the industry, 2006 would be a good time to expand into those areas. He said: "Every one of our advisers sell mortgages and insurance and it is possible they could sell pensions and investments too. "It would be foolish not to take advantage of the changes taking place in the pension and investment markets, considering our relationship with Friends Provident and large client base."
