Former JPMorgan MD joins BGI

Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has hired former JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) managing director Karen Prooth.

Prooth will assume the role of managing director and European chief operating officer (COO) for iShares, BGI’s ETF brand, and GIMG, which comprises of five business components including index equity, cash management, and securities lending. Reporting to Rory Tobin, CEO of iShares and GIMG Europe, Prooth will have responsibility for coordinating the operations, technology and finance functions for iShares and GIMG in Europe.
