The Exchange to keep brand in Vertex takeover

Most of Marlborough Stirling will eventually be rebranded as Vertex but IFA portal the Exchange will keep its name following the completion today of a takeover by its new parent group United Utilities.

A statement issued this morning by business process outsourcing company Vertex reveals it has now completed the acquisition of Marlborough Stirling – owners of the Exchange – and will eventually market all but the portal as Vertex. At present, Marlborough Stirling has three main divisions offering outsourcing technology – the Exchange, life and pensions and mortgages – however, the acquired service will make up the financial services division of Vertex, alongside two other divisions offering outsourced technology in the utilities, private and public sectors.
