A new standard for financial planners supported by RDR chief Amanda Bowe has been launched by UK certification body Standards International.
The internationally recognised ISO 22222 standard is an optional scheme for firms and individual advisers. Bowe gave her support to the scheme in September when she said ISO 22222 "could provide an alternative or even complementary standard" for advisers post RDR. According to Standards International, ISO 22222 specifies the “ethical behaviour, competences and experience required of financial planners”.
