FTSE regains strength

The benchmark FTSE 100 is currently up about 15 points to 4,487 after UK stocks this morning regained losses suffered yesterday.

BSkyB climbed 8p to 669p after analysts at J.P. Morgan raised the company's stock to "overweight" from "neutral". Rolls-Royce gained 3.5p to 232p. The company, which makes aircraft engines, has been selected by the planemaker Boeing to supply engines for one of its new aircrafts. In Asia, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index fell 60.08 points to 12,019.62 earlier today, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 41.57 points to 12,928.54. Across the Atlantic, trading ended on a mixed note yesterday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 12.44 points to 10,570.81 by the close. In the meanti...
