British apathy and lack of knowledge regarding pension issues are again highlighted as major factors contributing to the current pensions crisis, according to new research.
A survey conducted by execution-only broker TD Waterhouse, questioning 1,600 individuals, finds as many as two in ten brits are undecided on whether to make pension contributions compulsory or not. The execution-only broker finds a third of respondents are opposed to the idea of compulsory contributions to company pension schemes, with figure dropping to 27% for those people aged between 18-29.
