Figures published by the Association of British Insurers show the overwhelming majority of Brits either totally or partially distrust the government to provide decent pensions policy.
More than three-quarters,77%, of 2,562 people surveyed for the ABI’s Pensions and Savings Index said they did not trust at all or tended to distrust government pension policy. True, there has been a shift since September last year in the number of people who either trust or trust a great deal in government policy in this area. However, the increase in that time is equal to 5% of those surveyed, meaning that currently just one-in-five, or 20% are positive towards government policy.
