Ecommerce workshops hosted by Origo

Standardisation organisation Origo has set 20th January as the date for its first focus group meeting for IFAs to discuss ecommerce and future services in life and pensions.

That meeting will take place at the Hilton Mews on Park Lane, London. Additional focus group meetings through the first part of next year will be used by Origo to obtain feedback on the sorts of issues IFAs want addressed as the industry increasingly moves towards its goal of true straight through processing of business online. Standards have been put in place through 2003, which cover quotes, new business submission, commission reconciliation, real-time valuations and bulk data downloads, but the next step is to tie these strands together, Origo says.
