Your Move and e.surv sold in management buyout

Aviva has just announced the sale of Your Move estate agency and e.surv conveyancing service to Barclays Private Equity for £42m.

A new company called Lending Solutions has been created by Barclays specifically so the company can acquire the two divisions of Aviva, as a management buyout of teams at Your Move and e.surv. Jim Newman, finance director of Norwich Union Life and Pensions and the outgoing chairman of Your Move, says the firm had received a number of offers for the businesses before making the final decision. e.surv will continue to concentrate and build on its core B2B proposition with distributors such as IFAs as well as look at new ideas linked the Home Information Pack proposals, says Simon Emble...
