Base offers helping hand to Salt Commercial brokers

Base Commercial Mortgages has offered to review pipeline cases from brokers left in the lurch by Salt Commercial's recent decision to cease new lending.

The firm says it can provide a full decision in principle for most cases within four hours of receiving a completed application form. Paul Marland, sales and marketing director at Base, says: “Preparing and submitting a commercial mortgage application involves considerably more work than a residential mortgage and to have to re-broke cases is a major set-back for intermediaries. “Base is happy to extend a helping hand to our key business partners, particularly those who have clients where speed of completion is a critical factor.” He says Base cannot guarantee to place every case but...
