One in three landlords believe tenant demand is growing rapidly in early 2008, according to Paragon Mortgages.
More than half of landlords think tenant demand is stable, according to Paragon’s research, and just 7% believe demand is falling. Paragon’s latest survey of landlords found a third felt demand is growing rapidly, up from 25% at the end of 2007 and the highest proportion since the survey began in 2004. A separate survey by the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) found half of landlords believe demand for private rented accommodation outstrips supply, rising to 52% and 59% in London and the South East respectively.
