New Star and Intrinsic to launch multi-manager funds

New Star, the fund manager, and Intrinsic Financial Services, the adviser network, will launch four multi-manager investment funds in the second quarter of 2008.

Each fund will invest through open-ended investment companies (OEICs), investment trusts and exchange-traded funds. The funds will function as sub-funds of an OEIC and have offer varied degrees of risk. New Star has called them the New Star Intrinsic Cautious fund, the New Star Intrinsic Moderate fund, the New Star Intrinsic Dynamic fund and the New Star Intrinsic Adventurous fund. The New Star Intrinsic Cautious fund and the New Star Intrinsic Moderate fund will focus on UK investments and have low exposure to volatile sectors, offering fund of hedge funds and cash exposure.
