Corus fails to hold down FTSE

THE FTSE 100 is currently up 21.2 points, or 0.36%, to 5,909.5 despite steelmaker Corus leading the fallers following disappointing results.

Enterprise Inns is leading the gainers at the moment, up 2.77% to 1,021.5p after Deutsche increased its target price on the stock to 1,200p from 1,060p, while Wolseley is also performing well with gains of 2.39% to 1,115p. But Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus is acting as the biggest drag on eth index with a fall of 1.94% to 392.75p after first-half profit slipped more than expected on a reduction in selling prices and higher raw material and energy costs. Shares in Drax have also lost 1.33% to 890p, extending Tuesday's drop after a share placing by Morgan Stanley, while miner Antofagasta ...
