SPC appoints Sir James Hodge as chairman

The Society of Pension Consultants has appointed Sir James Hodge as its new chairman.

He succeeds Sir David Miers, who is stepping down after more than eight years in the role. Hodge, a former British diplomat, has had a 37-year career at the Foreign Office, mainly concentrating on trade and economic issues and spending much of his time in East Asia. He is a member of the Central Council of the Royal Over-Seas League, deputy chairman of Asia House and an advisor to the Mansion House Scholarship Scheme.
