Abbey unveils a flaming rebrand

Banco Santander has strengthened its grip on Abbey as the UK banking group has announced plans to rebrand using BS's flaming logo.

The change has already been implemented on Abbey’s corporate website, although its customer-facing front-end retains the existing Abbey logo for now. Literature and branches will be rebranded through 2005, with a target of overhauling a third (250) branches before the end of the year. Such reforms will bring Abbey in line with BS’ operations in some 40 markets worldwide.
