Standard Life dissident Michael Hogan has turned down an offer to be assessed as a candidate for the company's board by independent assessors, The Daily Telegraph reports,
Hogan has stated the dates proposed for the assessment clashed with days required for recovery from an operation, and that he would still be standing as an independent candidate, with some 400 signed nomination forms. Three dissidents are seeking election to the board ahead of a vote on demutualization, The Telegraph says, including David Stonebanks, who previously tried to force the company to pay windfalls, and Paul Braithwaite, general secretary of the Equitable Members Action Group.
