Paragon axes 62 Mortgage Trust staff

Paragon has announced 62 Epsom-based Mortgage Trust business processing positions will become redundant.

The lender says it wants to centralise its processing operations, currently undertaken in Solihull and Epsom. It says the restructure is vital “in order to achieve operational and cost efficiencies”, after it experienced difficulties on the back of the sub-prime crisis. The move follows similar redundancy announcements from edeus and Kensington Mortgages last week.
