Lord Hunt should have conducted a more comprehensive review of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and gone further with his recommendations, AIFA says.
Chris Cummings, director general of AIFA, also says the new recommendations will come at a cost and any additional fees paid should be subject to a full cost benefit analysis. Commenting on the review, AIFA welcomed the recommendation that the Small First Taskforce at the FOS should do more to support work with small businesses and understand their needs.
