The Association of IFAs' director general David Severn is stepping down from his position on health grounds.
A statement issued this morning by the trade body says Severn has recently been diagnosed with kidney disease so he does not believe it is in the interests of his own health and the association to continue as DG. Chris Cummings will take over as director general while Fay Goddard will step into his position as deputy director general and retain responsibility for policy work across the body.
