Baillie Gifford snares former Schroder Japan manager

Boutique investment house Baillie Gifford has appointed former Schroders fund manager Donald Farquharson as an investment manager in its Japanese equity team.

Farquharson spent 17 years in the Schorders Japanese equity team, including a stint as manager of the Schroder Japan Growth fund. In addition, the Edinburgh-based firm has announced Matthew Brett will work alongside lead manager Sarah Whitley on the Baillie Gifford Japanese fund.
