Retirement Plus is to hold a series of seminars in the New Year to help advisers get up to speed on SHIP's top-up qualifications for Home Reversion Plans.
The firms says any adviser who has not achieved the top-up qualification by the end of April 2008, cannot claim to be ‘whole of market’ for equity release plans. Seminars are free to attend and will take place in January and February 2008, with the first due to take place in Maidstone on 22 January. Numbers for each course are limited. Retirement Plus says it will refund exam costs to brokers who attend a seminar and pass the exams in a single sitting before 30 April 2008.
