The FTSE 100 Index has fallen 13.6 points to 5,844.1 points this morning, led by weaker energy stocks and telecoms.
Energy stocks have put the most pressure on the index, tracking a fall in crude prices toward $62 a barrel. BP has fallen 1.36% to 654p, Rio Tinto has dropped 2.49% to 2,856p and Scottish and Southern Energy is 0.86% lower at 1,147p. Mobile phone giant Vodafone is also dragging on the FTSE, losing 1.45% to 118.75p. Meanwhile, Morrison WM Supermarkets has risen 3.05% to 203p. Both UBS and Oriel Securities have raised their ratings on Morrison to "buy".
