Amex builds on wrap proposal

American Express is building on its wrap model by announcing a deal to offer access to all 4,000 UK funds from 266 providers coupled with data from Standard & Poor's.

Included will be some 900 funds on which Amex has negotiated discounts. The S&P database provides fact sheets outlining funds performance information for comparisons between products, key statistics, risk profiles, holdings, asset allocation and sector weightings. Funds ratings including S&P fund stars and research tools are also included. Amex earlier this year outlined its business model approach to establishing links with selected IFAs to build channels for business post de-polaristion.
