Nearly eight in ten UK workers feel it is the responsibility of the individual to provide sufficient savings leading into their retirement, however many are still not saving, new research indicates.
A survey by B&CE questioning 912 working Brits finds a third of the working population are not making any financial provision for retirement, while 44% do not subscribe to a pension scheme. Moreover, B&CE asked those 44% of respondents not making pension savings why they were not saving, with four in ten individuals saying they could not afford to.
