Skandia plots a course behind 2008 Olympians

Skandia UK has signed a deal to sponsor Great Britain's 2008 Olympic sailing team.

In the first deal of its kind, Skandia announced at this year’s London Boat Show the British Olympic sailing team will now be branded as Skandia Team GBR 2008 in a major sponsorship deal supporting all athletes of the Royal Yachting Association’s Team GBR before they travel to Beijing in less than four years’ time. The Swedish-owned life assurance company is already well-known among the sailing fraternity for its support of Cowes Week since 1995 and as personal sponsors for Olympic Gold medalist Iain Percy and his crew, Steve Mitchell (shown in image below) - the pair who won the Star cl...
