The government is determined to remove unnecessary regulation and simplify regulatory burdens to address concerns of pensions schemes over reforms, Stephen told today's NAPF conference.
Speaking at the National Association of Pension Funds Autumn conference in London, the minister for pensions Reform argued the government has set out one of the most radical programmes of regulatory reform anywhere in the world. Over the next three or four years, Timms claims there will be year-on-year reductions in administrative burdens, with a rolling plan of simplification that will focus on removing or merging regulation into a more manageable form, resolving overlap and inconsistency.
