Wraps still unable to handle pensions - Defaqto

Wrap propositions have yet to be configured to cope with proposals for A-day reforms, suggests a new report, as some systems still do not offer fully integrated pensions support.

Financial research conducted by Defaqto indicates although wraps have been the dominant technology growth development over the last 12 months, many wrap services are still unable to handle pensions business because of the uncertainties around the scope of the investment allowed. In a report entitled IFA platforms in the UK (wraps) attempted to look at current availability and future features and services of eight wrap propositions – five of these studies received additional support from the firms researched – to produce a comparison on a cost basis and highlight each platform’s strengths...
