Housing market picks up in September says Moneyextra

House prices and mortgage searches inched ahead as home buyers returned to the market after the summer, new research claims.

A survery produced by Moneyextra says the housing market picked up in September with the average property value searched for rising to £210,933, slightly above May’s previous high of £210,009. The rise in house prices suggests some recovery in the housing market after the summer doldrums. The report also says the average mortgage being sought in September was £127,808, up 0.91% on the previous month, and up by 2.80% in the last three months.
