Majority of Brits not worried about leaving inheritance

Two out of three adults with the means to leave an inheritance to family or friends say they plan to enjoy their retirement rather than worry about leaving a legacy, new research reveals

The results, part of a national survey into attitudes to inheritance, carried out by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, suggests individuals take a more relaxed attitude toward leaving an inheritance. Even among pensioners a majority reject the notion that older people ought to be careful with their money, says the report claiming little more than a quarter of those able to leave some form of inheritance say they intend to deliberately save money in order to do so.
