Small announcements lift FTSE - so far

Trading is relatively mixed in London this morning, as a serious of announcements from Easyjet and smaller firms could shift confidence in stock prices.

The FTSE 100 is currently up around 25 points or 0.57% to 4410 and Aviva has so far made the best of gains, as its share price is currently up 15.5p or 2.94% to 543.5p. EasyJet may at some point see its share price move either up or down as the no-frills airline reports a first-half loss before exceptional charges and goodwill. Its share value is currently sat at around 307p. Rival British Airways is currently up 8.25p or 2.98% to 284.75p. Vodafone Group is getting a bit of a pounding this morning but its share price is still up 2p or 1.6% to 130.75p, as a report in the Times suggests...
