The average house price in the UK stood at £185,188 in December, down marginally from £185,848 in November, according to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
The latest ODPM House Price Index reveals prices were almost unchanged between November and December, compared to a fall of 0.7% seen over the same period in 2004. The UK average house price decreased marginally between November and December by less than 0.1%, while average prices for bungalows and semi-detached houses fell by 1% and 0.8% respectively and prices for terraced houses rose by 1.3%.
