Lausanne-based Diapason Commodities Management is to launch a commodities hedge fund in mid-February tracking the Rogers commodity index, to benefit from what the fund manager believes will be a 10- to 20-year run in commodities. Diapason is part-owned by the fund's manager, Lionel Motiere, who founded hedge fund manager Equinoxe in 2002 and part-owned by Jim Rogers. Its first fund, the Diapason Rogers Commodity Fund, with daily liquidity, will trade in 35 commodities from metals and agriculturals through to silk and energy.
