GISC pushes for OFT exemption

The spat between the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) and the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) took a predictable turn today. The GISC said it is asking the Director General of the Office of Fair Trading to consider its application for exemption of the GISC Rules under the Competition Act.
