the bdt invest asian focus fund has outperformed the ftse all-share over the past two years by using strict risk controls

The offshore BDT Invest Asian Focus fund is run as a long-only absolute return portfolio, with the ability to hold high cash weightings. The portfolio is team managed, with Henry Thornton working alongside Simon Dobson, who focuses on Japan, and Rob Brewis, who concentrates on Asia and emerging markets. The three managers have equity stakes in BDT of about 25% each. The team earn a performance fee only if they make compound returns of more than 10% per year.
