Stephen Whittaker, the manager of the £730m Invesco Perpetual UK Growth fund, has resigned from the group, and is expected to join New Star. Whittaker was one of the two key pillars of the Perpetual UK business along with Neil Woodford, who signed a long term deal with Invesco Perpetual earlier this year. Although at the time of writing, he has not yet signed for New Star, Whittaker is expected to join the group either today or early next week.
