nomura puts full weight behind equity derivatives project

Nomura Asset Management has entered the offshore and European markets with a series of Dublin and Guernsey-structured products linked to equities, hedge funds and commodities - all created by a brand new business unit. Over the past 10 months, Nomura has poached 50 people from 14 different companies to create a fully-fledged equity derivatives arm, which will launch products focused initially on the UK and German markets but also Asia, the Middle East and the rest of Western Europe.
