June is the month of LGBTQ+ Pride, part of which sees celebrations for the community including the world-famous parade in London.

But it is also a time to reflect on, and continue the fight for, equal civil rights at a time when diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) has become a political target. In past years, the Pride in London parade – held annually on the first Saturday of July – was abundant with financial services firms, with every other float sponsored by banks, insurers, pension providers and wealth and asset managers, flinging rainbow-coloured gismos and gadgets onto the crowd.
