2018 Women in Financial Advice (WIFA) Rising Star of the Year Laura Thursfield tells Sophie King why progressing financial education in her home city of Birmingham is so important

Last October, PA hosted its first Women in Finance awards, celebrating the achievements of women across the industry. It was a successful evening that saw Mazar's Laura Thursfield take home the trophy for the Rising Star award, a reputable and prestigious achievement. Thursfield joined Mazars in 2013, as a graduate trainee while also studying for PFS level three, four and six qualifications before progressing through various Paraplanning and assistant planner roles.
