Worth taking the risk? The Guardian's Patrick Collinson asked whether consumers should reconsider the safety of deposit accounts in exchange for gaining high-income returns by putting some savings in investment funds. An investment fund from Fidelity, offering an annual income of about 7% prompted Collinson to ask whether it is worth consumers taking more risk with their savings through investing in funds and shares.
