UK savers continue to face a barrage of challenges to their retirement income. In our 2014 Global Retirement index, which surveys global trends in retiree welfare, Britain ranked only 18th globally in its capacity to meet retirement security needs, behind most other leading European countries. Buoyed by health, environment and income, finances in retirement weighed heavily on the UK’s overall ranking.
