The retirement industry has undergone phenomenal change during the past few years. This has happened on three counts. Firstly, regulatory change has cast a shadow over the advisory community for a good few years, now obliging advisers to re-evaluate everything they do and what they specialise in. Secondly, demographic changes mean consumers are living longer than ever before – and by inference living in retirement longer too.
