Born in Stockport, Stuart Doughty left school at 18 to follow in his father's and grandfather's footsteps when he joined Barclays Bank. After a brief stint playing rugby union in Australia in 1990, Stuart's first taste of advising clients came when he moved to General Accident Life in 1992, gaining him the experience needed to become part of the financial planning team with Eversheds in 1996.
