Embark Group's Gillian Hepburn joins Schroders' intermediary business

Gillian Hepburn, formerly head of strategic partnerships at the Embark Group, has today (28 January) joined Schroders in the newly created role of UK intermediary solutions director.

Schroders said the appointment of Hepburn, who was also a co-founder of discretionary fund manager (DFM) consultancy Discus, was the first of several new hires that would be announced for the fund group's UK intermediary business under the newly expanded leadership of Philip Middleton. Middleton became sole head of Schroders' UK intermediary business in October 2018, when then-co-head James Rainbow was appointed chief executive of the fund group's wealth management strategic partnership with Lloyds, which the two companies aim to make one of the "top three UK financial planning businesse...
