The Scottish Widows Platform has been on something of a journey through our sector, being an amalgamation of technology and brands. One strand was The Zurich Platform, which launched in 2013, known for its strength in income provision. This was purchased by Embark in May 2020 and rebranded to Advance by Embark. It lived there for a period, including during the purchase of Alliance Trust. Embark was acquired by Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) in 2022, LBG decided to consolidate the Embark and Advance by Embark platforms into one tech stack under the Scottish Widows brand, this was delivere...
