In late April, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its widely anticipated consultation paper on extending the Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) regime to the portfolio management industry. While noting its consultative nature, the paper provides some clarity for the portfolio management industry in a range of areas, following the FCA excluding portfolio managers from the SDR regulations published in November 2023, which were targeted towards UK-domiciled funds rather than portfolios.
