It's not often you see an investor presentation referencing Roman fish sauce. But at the back end of last year, Artemis launched its Leading Consumer Brands fund with just that. The point? Strong brands have offered consumers (and investors) a mark of trust, quality and emotional connection through time that continues, from Scaurus's ancient fish sauce right through to today's Kraft Heinz and Hermes.  Yet brands are experiencing a period of volatility.
