Despite steady growth over the past ten years - about 50% of advised assets are in model portfolio services (MPS) today - there is still a lack of trust in what advisers and their clients are gaining by using such services. You can't really blame advisers. In comparison with investing via funds, there has been a distinct lack of transparency and accountability associated with investing via MPS. Thankfully, this looks set to change. In the past few months, we have been pleased to see the launch of two comprehensive services designed to analyse and compare MPS across multiple providers....
