A new wave of technology-driven platform providers is coming to market giving advisers the chance to unlock the promises of old, writes Alex Cowan-Sanluis

The choice facing advice firms wanting to review their choice of platform is now wider than ever before. It's not that long since this choice was limited to product provider-hosted services, often with the platform being used as a distribution channel for the provider's own funds. These services came to market on the promise of delivering efficiencies and business improvements to advice firms, as well as improved customer outcomes.
