The time is upon us when marketing departments request year-end round ups and outlooks for the year ahead. The reviews of the year are the easy part, a roundup of what happened in economies, maybe a note on political events or other notable features and an analysis of what happened in financial markets. There is always a word count and, whatever that may be, it will not be enough to cover the story of 2020. You will have the opportunity to read plenty of reviews, so let's give that a miss and try to be a bit more forward looking. That, however, is more of a challenge and the situation...
